Decarboxylation is a chemical reaction that removes a carboxyl group and releases carbon dioxide (CO2)

The lessening of criminal penalties in relation to certain acts, perhaps retroactively, though perhaps regulated permits or fines might still apply

Diamond Mining

iamond Mining is all about encouraging separation of cannabinoids from terpenes. The end product can be incredibly flavorful and potent, and many dabbers who prefer live resin also prefer the crystallization of “terp sauce.”

A term used in the cannabis industry to describe crystalline structures.

A cannabis storefront that dispenses cannabis for either recreational or medical cannabis.

Dry Sift

Dry sift is a form of hash, like kief, that’s named after the process used to make it. It’s a hands-on, craft approach to separating the trichome heads from the plant material. The dry sift technique uses screens with extremely fine mesh to hand-sift the dried flowers or trim, removing the resinous glands and refining the extract into a granular consistency.

Short for electronic nail, an e-nail is a dabbing device that lets users set the temperature electronically and does not require a torch to get hot.

A system of cannabinoid receptors, lipids, and enzymes that performs a large role in maintaining homeostasis, or internal regulatory balance, in many bodily functions.

Ensemble Effect

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is the most abundant cannabinoid (a chemical compound that mimics natural human neurotransmitters) in the hemp plant. But it’s far from the only one. There are actually more than 400 active compounds in hemp! The “entourage effect” refers to how these compounds interact with each other and the human body to produce a range of effects.

Entourage Effect

The entourage effect is a proposed mechanism by which cannabis compounds other than tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) act synergistically with it to modulate the overall psychoactive effects of the plant

Environmental Crossover

Verb, Noun

When a cross cultivation is achieved through an uncontrolled manner between plants.

Ethanol Hash Oil (EHO)

This is the concentrate we used to create certain wax and shatter. It involves soaking the bud briefly in pure alcohol at low temperature to pull out the cannabinoids and terpenes

Eucalyptol (also known as cineol) is an important terpene for medical cannabis patients because it can be used to treat a wide variety of ailments and conditions. Eucalyptol is primarily useful in the treatment of pain and inflammation, but it can also serve as an antifungal and insecticide.

A general term that refers to the smokable, cannabis leaf that is used in a bong, pipe, papers, or other standard smoking method.

Full Spectrum Extracts

A cannabis concentrate produced that preserves the full cannabinoid and terpene contents of the raw cannabis plant. The goal of a full spectrum extract is to maintain the complex range of desirable compounds in a cannabis plant without altering them through decarboxylation or oxidation.
